The Wolves Workshop

Esta aventura en “The Wolves Workshop” la recordaré una y mil veces. Conocí a grandes compañeros y mentores que a día de hoy han hecho posible que crezca más como fotógrafo y como persona.
Todo empezó en Madrid en un Bodaf, donde acompañado por varios compañeros, terminamos comiendo junto a unos grandes como: Pablo Béglez, Judith, Marcos, etc, etc. Y precisamente en esa comida se anunció The Wolves Workshop. La pasión e ilusión que mostró Pablo, junto con los ánimos de mi compañero Luis, hizo que no lo dudara: “apúntame!” Gracias Judith por darme tu media hamburguesa : )
Pasaron varios meses desde febrero hasta noviembre, donde uno se preguntaba ¿y qué nos tendrán preparado?
Nos adelantamos un grupo de compañeros para conocer mejor Lanzarote y conoceros de paso quienes no nos habíamos visto antes en persona. Ya ahí era un adelanto de que nos esperaba pues íbamos como niños chicos por la isla haciendo fotos de todo. Remarco aquí los compañeros portugueses: Hugo, Rui y Claudia, que creo que hicieron un mapa topográfico de Lanzarote, pues no pararon de hacer fotos a cada esquina!
Y … al fin llegó el gran día! Toca irse a la Graciosa ! Desde la llegada se nos notaba a todos la emoción de estar ahí, y de ir poco a poco conociendo a esas personas que meses antes fuiste hablando por Facebook.
Ahí aprendí no solo de grandes de la fotografía como: Pablo, Dylan, Sara, James (más cerveza!) y Ed Peers, sino de mis compañero y otros invitados al workshop como: Daniel, Hilario, Javier, Germán, Gloria, Gustavo, Alfonso, Andrea, María, Cédric, Carmela, Luis, Pedro, Txina, Kate, Sean, etc, etc (no me da para nombraros a tod@s!). Pues precisamente ahí radica una de las cosas más bonitas de este workshop fue la convivencia y que los propios compañer@s con quien convives te ayudan a mejorar tus encuadres, edición y viceversa claro!

Sin duda ha sido de las mejores experiencias que he vivido, y que recordaré con una sonrisa siempre.

Gracias Pablo y Judith por hacer esto posible, y a cada un@ de mis compañero@s que sin vosotros no hubiera sido lo mismo!

I’ll remember this adventure at The Wolves Workshop” during all my life. There I met colleagues and mentors whom made me growing up as photographer but as human being too. It all began in Madrid’s Bodaf, where me and a few colleagues ended up eating next to greats such as Pablo Beglez, Judith, Marcos, etc. And particulary during that meal The Wolves Workshop was firstly advertised. Passion and illusion shown by Pablo, together with my friend Luis attitude, made me take a fast decission: “sign me in!”. Thanks Judith for giving me half of your burger : )!

Few months passed from February until November, where I used to ask myself what would they have prepared for us. A group of colleagues anticipated to the rest so we could do some tourism around Lanzarote and also know other colleagues who hadn’t have the pleasure to met personally. That already was a preview of what would await us, as we were like little kids making photos of everything around the island. I must feature highlight the portuguese colleagues here, Hugo, Rui and Claudia, whom I remember they made a topographic map of Lanzarote, as they took photos of every single corner.

And finally, the great day! Time to go to La Graciosa. Since the arrival we all demonstrated how excited we were to be there and started knowing those people that months ago started chatting with via Facebook.

There I learn not only from great photografers like Pablo, Dylan, Sara, James (more beer!) and Ed Peers, but also from my colleagues and other inviteds to the workshop, like Daniel, Hilario; Javier, German, Gloria, Gustavo, Alfonso, María, Carmela, Cédric, Luis, Pedro, Txina, Kate, Sean, etc, etc (too many names!) Well, there is one of the prettiest things of this workshop, the coexistence with all of them and the peer support.

This has been, without any doubt, one of the best experiences I have ever lived and I will always recall it with a smile on my face.
